What to do when you have a 'wobble.'

If you've had a few wobbles in the last two weeks when fear, or volume of activity, have taken their toll on your overall purpose, then STOP!


Stop whatever it is you are doing and take time to ask, what do those worried, tired, anxious, overwhelming feelings mean?


Once you have sat with those feelings for a few minutes and understand where they are coming from, then you can begin the exciting work of deciding what you are going to do about those feelings. They are action signals and can be extremely helpful if you tap into your emotional intelligence and work with them.


Are you going to wallow in them and let them take over completely?


Are you going to allow your mental and emotional energy to spiral down?


Are you going to give yourself a million excuses why you can't overcome them?


Are you going to lie down in a dark room and let life pass you by?


I hope the answer to the above is a rip roaring NO!!


In the words of that famous philospher, Mufasa (from the Lion King ;-)), 'Remember who you are.'


YOU ARE A PURPOSE DRIVEN WOMAN and you are on a mission to make a difference in this world. Yes it can be tough. Yes there can be ups and downs, but you love a good rollercoaster, right? Yes you will grow and learn from this 'wobble'. It's a little gift of further self awareness and clarity.


As another, much quoted genius, Einstein stated, 'You need to "stay with the question". However, it's not only staying with the question that's important, but what the question is.


Negative questions, lead to a negative responses. How about asking the question in a more solution focused way?





Solution focus the situation to your next level energy.

What is making me feel anxious, overwhelmed, worried and what action can I take today to release the energy of that feeling and overcome it to feel great again?

What is making me make excuses? What will increase my motivation to follow through my desires into action?

What is the best thing that could happen, if I choose to take action today to create the life I want to live?

What one thing will make the biggest impact, if I take action on it right now? How wonderful will I feel on the otherside of that action? 

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying repress or ignore your feelings, in my experience that is the worst thing you can do, as they build up until you explode! Your feelings are part of the cycle of your thoughts,  so by asking positive solution focused questions you can create thoughts that accept the feelings, but take action to improve the situation.

Remember who you are - a purpose driven woman who is nurturing a growth mindset and a next level work in progress. You are good anough and you can face the challenges put in your way. 

These little steps will help you to reach your goals, achieve your resolutions and above all keep a clear, calm head.
